QuickBooks Online has an item type called bundled items, which are kits. A bundled item will remove its sub items from inventory and calculate the COGS per item. Bundles have drawbacks, which include overriding the pricing.
Bundled items have no price. How does Cloud Cart calculate the price?
Cloud Cart Connector inserts the SKU from your website into the QuickBooks item name or website SKU field. QuickBooks adds the bundle and QuickBooks will assign the sum of the bundled items into QuickBooks.
My bundle only has one SKU. Can Cloud Cart Connector just override the price of that item?
If the bundle has only one SKU, then Cloud Cart will just change the price of the item. Here is an example:
My bundle has multiple SKUs. The price of the bundle is different than the price of the sale. Will Cloud Cart Connector correct the problem?
Cloud Cart Connector will add the bundled product to QuickBooks. If the price in QuickBooks and your website are different, then our tool will add an item called rounding to adjust the order. Rounding can be a positive or negative number.
My bundle has sub items and none of them have a price. How does Cloud Cart fix the sale?
Cloud Cart Connector will adjust the first item's price to max the item price on your order. All other items will have a $0 price. Here is an example sale.
How do I change the price of sub items in the bundle?
You can change the price of the items in the products and services list:
- Log into QuickBooks.
- Click the gear.
- Click products and services.
- Find the products inside the bundle.
- Double click the row.
- Change the unit price.
Ideally, you should sell your bundled item for the same price as your store. If your bundle is $19.99 and your store sells it for $14.99, Cloud Cart will add a $5 discount to the sale.
